Welcome to The Artist's Way journey. The Artist's Way is a book by Julia Cameron - a 12 step process to Recover your Creativity. I offer sessions to help you in this journey. You will find links on the side of this post that will help you to work through the book.
In case you would like to get a head start on The Artist's Way, you will find some videos shared below. In them, you will discover the basic tools that we will be using over the course of the year. Hopefully, they will become tools that you will use happily ever after.
If you would like to get a head start, I suggest that students of The Artist's Way start on the Basic Tools - morning pages, artist dates, and walks. You will need an exercise book - an A4 size one is one suggestion. Each morning write 3 pages, longhand. Please listen to the first video.
The Artist Date is lots of fun. I have been doing artist dates now since I read the book about 20 years ago. I suggest that when you go on your artist date, that you keep a record in another book. Or gather those little brochures that are usually on the stand if you are at a gallery, for your folder - I wish I had done that in retrospect. Please listen to the second video.
Julia says that one of the few things that she would change for The Artist's Way, is that she would add, go for a walk each day. It's a great strategy for us all in our well being, and so helpful for creative recovery. Please listen to the third video.
